DISCLAIMER NOTICEIMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE that not all states have approved virtual offerings for CE credit, and AQB/ASC exceptions may expire prior to the Program date in each state. If this is such an offering, by registering for this Program, you attest that you understand and agree to CHECK individual states for CE approval before registering for the Program. State CE credit may not be available in state(s) on the date of the Program, as exceptions may expire. The Appraisal Institute cannot be held responsible if CE credit is not available for the Program.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
The Appraisal Institute issues certificates for state
certification/licensing or state continuing education credit that verify
attendance of 100%. Please note, if Appraisal Institute attendance records
indicate attendance of less than 100%, the student certificate will reflect
this, and state agencies may refuse to award credit.
EDUCATION MATERIALS POLICY
IMPORTANT CHANGES to
our registration processes have recently been implemented.
These changes affect how you receive
your education materials for this program. To be sure you are prepared for
class, please review the information below BEFORE registering.
Electronic Materials:
When you register for this program
you automatically receive electronic materials to download for class at no
additional charge.
Note:Some
files are large and take time to download. Rather than opening a component link
in a browser and then saving it to your desktop, it is recommended that you
right-click on each download component and select "save target as" from the
drop-down menu. Then select a location on your computer. Do NOT attempt to
access the file while it is downloading. Some files are large and take time to
download properly; this is dependent on your internet connection.
Print Materials:
- IF during the registration process
you select the option to receive print materials (additional cost for printing
and shipping that will appear in your cart), you will receive in the mail four
weeks before the class begins a print copy of the handbook and other components
for the class.
- IF you DO NOT select the option to
receive print materials, but would like to have print materials for class, you
will need to download and print the electronic components prior to class.
Please note that there will not be print materials available at the site.
EXAM INFORMATION
Exam results will be available on your My Events page.
Numerical grades are not released. Your grade notification letter will indicate
only that you have passed or failed the examination. It is against the
Appraisal Institute’s policy to release any grade information over the
telephone or by email.
FOR ONLINE COURSES and EXAM ONLY Registrations:
At
the time of the examination, two forms of valid ID are required. Both MUST
match legal first and last name exactly. No Exceptions.
APPRAISAL INSTITUTE COURSE PREREQUISITE WAIVER
The Appraisal Institute curriculum is designed to guide
students through the basic understanding of appraisal concepts and procedures
to advanced and application-oriented courses. Courses and examinations evolve
from "how to calculate" and definitions to problem solving by using
sophisticated analytical methods.
For this reason, the Appraisal Institute strongly encourages
all students who enroll in its courses to successfully complete the courses
(i.e. attend the course and pass the examination) in sequence. Each course
covers a great deal of material in a short period of time. The Appraisal
Institute and its instructors assume that each student has a full understanding
of the material covered in prerequisite courses. Instructors will not deviate
from the course schedule to review the material from prerequisite courses. Time
for review is not available.
However, students may enroll in any course if they agree to
this waiver as part of the registration form. By registering, students are
assumed to have an educational background equivalent to the prerequisite
course(s).
AGREEMENT
By registering, I attest that I have read and understand the
Appraisal Institute attendance policy, education materials policy, exam
information and course prerequisite waiver.
Further, I understand that if I take an Appraisal Institute
course out of sequence and fail to pass the examination of the course for which
I am enrolling (or for future courses), it is my personal responsibility and I
will not hold the Appraisal Institute, its Education Network Providers,
instructors, or any of its representatives responsible in any manner. I
understand that taking the Appraisal Institute courses out of sequence does not
exempt me from other Appraisal Institute policies and procedures pertaining to
courses and Appraisal Institute membership designations.
I further understand that should I take any course out of
sequence and have difficulty mastering the contents of the course, I should not
expect, nor will I receive (during or outside of class) special attention from
the instructor – e.g. a review of prior course material in class or privately,
or extra time spent answering my questions in class.
