About our Keynote

As Managing Director of Colliers International’s Washington, DC consulting practice, he creates value for a-list clients through asset optimization strategies that generate new earnings, cost savings and economic development impact. He also provides valuations, feasibility studies, “place-making” economic development strategies, and innovative marketing plans that reimagine underutilized real estate assets.

His 35+ years of experience encompass 49 states, Canada, Mexico, Europe, South America, the Caribbean, Asia, and the South Pacific. Consulting highlights include Pebble Beach Company, Del Monte Lodge, Aspen Skiing Company, Irvine Ranch, Madison Square Garden, 20th Century Fox Studios, Santa Anita Racetrack, Dover Downs, Hana Ranch, Elvis Presley Enterprises (Graceland), Marriott Great America Theme Parks, Hyatt Regency & Four Seasons Resorts in CA, HI, and Malaysia, Honolulu Country Club, Bikini Atoll in Micronesia, Comcast Cable Systems, and U.S. military locations at Fort DeRussy in Waikiki & West Loch Naval Magazine in Hawaii, Pease AFB, El Toro & Mare Island in CA, and PHL Navy Yard.

Concurrent with his work at Colliers, David has dedicated over three decades to authorship and teaching Real Estate Finance, Valuation, Development Optimization, and Infrastructure Development at University business schools. David was further an Adjunct Professor of Real Estate Finance at the University of Delaware Lerner College of Business for 24 years from 1989 to 2012.

On May 12, 2022, David was honored to be in the Oval Office with President Biden and six surviving members of Hockenssin Colored School 107 to witness Biden’s signature of the Brown v.
