Course Materials and Hours
Onsite check-in will begin at 8:00a.m. on Monday, March 16. The course will run from 8:30a.m. – 5:00p.m. on March 16-17 and from 8:30am – 4:00pm on March 18. The 1-hour multiple-choice exam will be given at 4:00pm on Wednesday, March 18. Upon registration, participants will receive access to the downloadable course materials / handbook (unless the printed / shipped version is selected at the time of initial registration; additional printing and shipping fees apply.) Since Internet access cannot be guaranteed, it is highly recommended that you save these downloadable documents to a flash drive or to your hard drive prior to arriving onsite. Shipment of printed materials begins 4 weeks prior to the course start date ONLY to those who requested a printed version at the time of initial registration. If you would prefer hardcopy (printed) materials sent to you in advance, both a print fee of $20 and a shipping fee (TBD) apply. [Note: Shipping fee is calculated at the time of online check-out.]

Need a Cup o' Joe to get your morning rolling? Be sure to stop and grab your coffee before arriving on site. Registrants will be on their own for refreshments and lunch daily.

Required Equipment
A regular function calculator is required. Students should bring paper and pen/pencil for taking notes. Laptops are not required; any students opting to bring laptops should bring their own extension cords / power strips as electrical may be limited. A No. 2 pencil is required for the exam.

Education Credit Hours and Attendance Verifications
Those who arrive late or leave early will jeopardize receipt of credit.

Appraisal Institute: Full attendance (100%) and successful completion of the course exam enables designated members, candidates and practicing affiliates to receive 200 AI CEC points; 180 AI CEC points for attendance only (no exam). Successful completion of the exam is required Professional Development Program credit. Partial credit is not available.

BREA Continuing: Litigation Appraising is approved (#19CP754601379) for 21-hours of BREA continuing education credit for licensed/certified appraisers seeking BREA CEC. While 100% attendance is required, successful completion of the course exam is not required for BREA CEC.

BREA Qualifying Education: Litigation Appraising is designed solely as a CE offering and is therefore not approved for BREA basic education credit.

The Northern California Chapter does not have direct access to certificates for programs held after this time. Laptops, cellular phones, tablets, iPads, wearable technology (smart watch, Apple Watch, Google Glass, etc.), and other devices that can store data or connect to the Internet are NOT permitted during the exam. In addition, all watches, wallets, bags, and purses must be removed and stored out of reach prior to taking the exam.
