Important Items to Know / Understand Before Registering

  • This class will be based on the newly updated 2022-23 course materials will be held via interactive virtual classroom technology. It is the student's responsibility to have the required equipment – dependable Internet access, computer with webcam and microphone, as well as a current copy of USPAP 2020-21 to participate and receive credit.  The 2020-21 version of USPAP will remain in effect through 12/31/22.  This virtual classroom offering is approved for 7-hours of CA BREA CEC - #21CP754601481.

  • If you are seeking credit for USPAP 7-Hour Update from a state outside of California, check with your state licensing board to make sure that it will grant approval for (1) an out-of-state virtual classroom offering, (2) accepts reciprocal credit if approved in the host state and/or (3) accepts offerings from an out-of-state provider prior to registering. This is a nationally developed Appraisal Institute program so credit may be available in other states.  However, some states outside of California may have additional reporting requirements that the chapter is not able comply with.  Not all states have approved this new release of 2022-23 USPAP.  There is NO examination required for this virtual offering.

  • Photo IDs.    As part of the required attendance monitoring for virtual classroom offerings, all students need to provide the Chapter Office with a copy of their Photo ID/Driver's License upon registering.  IDs need to be submitted even if you have attended a prior chapter-sponsored offering.

To order USPAP 2020-21, visit www.appraisalfoundation.org (click on the live link). The electronic and print versions of USPAP 2020-21 are both acceptable. Neither hardcopy printed course materials nor USPAP 2020-21 will be available for purchase from the Northern California Chapter. Those relying on downloadable materials or access to USPAP, are strongly encouraged to pre-download and print these documents or perhaps view them on a secondary device during the virtual presentation.

Required Equipment
This class will be held via Interactive Technology (ZOOM).  It is the student's responsibility to have the required equipment - dependable Internet access, computer with webcam, speakers and microphone.  Some registrants may find a secondary device (ipad, phone, laptop or desktop computer) helpful during instruction.  Cell phones are better used only as a secondary rather than primary viewing device.

ZOOM Links and Assistance
