REGISTRATION LOGISTICS & DEADLINES: Prior to the first day of class, a separate 2-hour online session is required. The online session is available 28 days before the classroom session begins. The online session ends 2 days before the classroom session begins.

- 14 days (May 22, 2023) - Last day to register for the course with printed materials; Last day to cancel registration with a $150 cancellation fee

Important Note: Mandatory Diagnostic Test
Before enrolling in this or any other MAI designation course, you must take a diagnostic test. The Excel diagnostic tests your mastery of solving appraisal problems using spreadsheets. This diagnostic test was intentionally designed to be challenging and ensure participants have adequate Excel skills before taking MAI designation courses. For more information, check out the Diagnostic FAQ.
Excel is used extensively in the MAI designation courses; it is highly recommended that you know how to perform the necessary appraisal functions in Excel to succeed in this course.

This course implements a blended learning approach, which includes:
- A pre-class, 2-hour online session
- 35 hours of traditional classroom education
- A 3-hour exam on the 6th morning.
You will be asked to clear the calculator’s memory before and after the examination. Only one calculator is permitted in the testing room. Examinees taking most AI exams may bring their own calculator to use during the exam. Laptops, cellular phones, tablets, iPads, wearable technology (smart watch, Apple Watch, Google Glass, etc.), and other devices that can store data or connect to the Internet are NOT permitted during the exam. In addition, all watches, wallets, bags, and purses must be removed and stored out of reach prior to taking the exam.

Enrollment Cancellation Policy: If a registrant wishes to cancel registration, a cancellation notice must be submitted in writing via email stating the reason for the cancellation and his/her AI account # to sbrockway@aiatlanta.org.
Enrollment Cancellation Fees: - Up to 15 days prior to the program start date, $25 cancel fee
- 14-7 days prior to the program start date, $150 cancel fee
- Less than 7 days prior to the program start date, no refund will be provided

ATTENDANCE POLICY: To receive credit, 100% attendance of classroom time is required for all Appraisal Institute education programs. Partial credit is not permitted.
PRE-CLASS ASSIGNMENTS There is a pre-class, 2-hour online session with a deadline.

- Attend and pass exam – 375 points

STATE EDUCATION CREDIT: It is imperative that students check with their state regulatory board(s) for approval information before completing registration. Follow this link for State CE Approval Information.
TUITION: Tuition includes downloadable set of course materials. It does not include a shipped printed set of material.
STUDENT COURSE MATERIAL: Student course material is automatically provided to ALL students via a download option. Please have your computer/reader available with the downloaded material or have a printed copy of the material with you. If you would like to receive a printed copy of the course material, you will have an option during the registration process to order a set. Students requesting printed material will be charged a material fee plus shipping in addition to the tuition. (Note that if you do not receive the material shipment in time for class, please download or print a copy of the material from the Education and Events section of your AI account.)
Download Course Materials: Log onto your AI Account at www.appraisalinstitute.org with the username and password you used when you registered. Click on “Education and Events” located on the right navigation menu. On the My Events page, find the course under the “Classroom Offerings/Synchronous Offerings/Conferences” heading and click the "View" button. Scroll down to the “Download Course Materials” section and click on each link to download the course materials.

The Atlanta Area Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is not responsible for registrants' non-refundable airline reservations, lodging, or other expenses incurred by the participant.
