Experiences

Unless otherwise noted, the course price does not include a copy of the current USPAP edition, which is required for course credit. When the chapter does not include, participants must bring their own copy of the USPAP edition to class.

Additional Information

Appraisal Institute Course Information: 2020-2021 7-Hour USPAP Update, sponsored by the Metro NJ Chapter. This course is only for licensed appraisers. There are two (2) required books for this course; the student handbook and the 2020-2021 USPAP book. Both books are required and included in your registration fee and will be picked up at class. If you decide to download the student handbook you will not receive a book and if you decide to download the 2020-2021 USPAP book from the Appraisal Foundation's website, www.appraisalfoundation.org, you will need to call the chapter office since the hard copy of the book is included with your registration. Please arrive no later than 8:15 am for registration and picking up books. Class will be held from 8:30 A.M. to around 4:30 P.M. at the Holiday Inn Clark, 36 Valley Rd., Clark, NJ. Continental Breakfast and lunch are included. Please be aware that the Appraisal Institute enforces the attendance requirements mandated by state regulatory agencies. If you do not attend at least 100% of the course, you will receive a notice from the Appraisal Institute stating that you have not met the attendance requirement. Weather and or Emergency procedures for courses and seminars: 1). Call chapter office (732-560-0072) at 6:00 a.m. for a message about the status of the class or seminar. 2). If class is not cancelled, use your discretion on traveling. 3). In the event that you arrive at the class and no instructor has arrived by 9:30 a.m., please call the chapter office and leave a cell phone number that you can be reached for instructions. 4). In the event a class is cancelled, the course will continue on the next scheduled class day and the rest of the classes will follow. Please note that exam day could be pushed back accordingly.

Chapter course enrollment and cancellation policy ENROLLMENT POLICY: Your enrollment form and payment by check or online registration must be received by the chapter office at least 2 weeks prior to the start of each course to avoid a late charge. Registration deadline to guarantee a spot is 2 weeks before the day of class. No registrations will be accepted by mail 10 days before the start of the course. We cannot accept walk-in students. CANCELLATION POLICY: There will be a minimum 10% of the cost of the course for cancellations up to one week before course day. No refund for cancellations within 5 business days of 1st class, unless student replacement is found. All cancellations must be received by email. The chapter reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any program, and to change faculty assignments if necessary. If you missed the deadline, you can be put on a waiting list, by e-mailing the chapter office- metronj@ai-newjersey.org.
