Course Materials and Hours
Onsite check-in will begin at 8:00a.m. on Friday, January 31. The course will run from 8:30a.m. – 4:30p.m. There is no exam associated with this CE offering. Beginning 4 weeks prior to the offering, all students will have access to the downloadable course materials. If you would like hardcopy (printed) materials sent to you in advance, both a print fee of $15 and a shipping fee (TBD) apply. [Note: Shipping fee is calculated at the time of online check-out.]
In addition to the course materials, all students must come to class with either a print or downloadable copy of the newest version of USPAP 2020-21.
Need a cup o' Joe to get your morning rolling? Be sure to stop and grab your coffee before arriving on site. Registrants will be on their own for refreshments and lunch throughout the day.

Required Texts
In addition to the course materials, all students must come to class with a copy of the newest version of USPAP 2020-21. This publication is available directly from The Appraisal Foundation and should be ordered well in advance to ensure delivery. To order USPAP 2020-21, visit www.appraisalfoundation.org (click on the live link). The electronic and print versions of USPAP 2020-21 are both acceptable. Neither hardcopy printed course materials nor USPAP 2020-21 will be available for purchase onsite.
Those relying on downloadable materials or access to USPAP, are strongly encouraged to pre-download these documents onto a flash drive or save them directly on your laptop. Onsite Internet access cannot be guaranteed. In addition, access to electrical outlets may be limited; therefore all registrants planning to use laptops or tablets are encouraged to bring their own extension cords/power strips.
Required Equipment
Laptops are not required unless you are viewing the downloadable course materials and/or USPAP 2020-21 online. Since Internet access cannot be guaranteed, it is highly recommended that you save these documents to a flash drive or to your hard drive prior to arriving onsite. Electrical outlets may be limited so those bringing laptops / tablets should bring their own extension cords / power strips. Financial calculators are not needed. Bring paper and pen / pencil for taking notes.
Education Credit Hours and Attendance Verifications
Those who arrive late or leave early will jeopardize receipt of credit.
Appraisal Institute: Full attendance (100%) enables Designated Members and Practicing Affiliates to receive 35 AI CEC points. This course is just one of the programs AI professionals have to complete to meet their AI Standards requirement. Other offerings may include Business Practices and Ethics and/or USPAP 15-Hour.
BREA Continuing: National USPAP 7-Hour Update has been approved by the BREA (#19CP754601397) for 7-hours of CEC. Licensed/certified appraisers seeking BREA CEC must meet the 100% attendance requirement.
BREA Basic/Qualifying: National USPAP 7-Hour Update is not approved for BREA qualifying education (QE) credit.

- Click on the specific offering that you are seeking the certificate for; it will show REGISTERED
- Scroll to the very bottom of the screen to (1) COMPLETE EVALUATION FORM and (2) RETRIEVE CERTIFICATE
Note: Effective 10/01/19 students will be able to access their attendance certificates 24/7 through the Appraisal Institute's netFORUM association management program. The Northern California Chapter does not have direct access to certificates for programs held after this time. Confirmation Emails
All confirmed registrants will receive a payment receipt plus a separate confirmation by email. Be sure that you can accept emails from both info@appraisalinstitute.org and education@appraisalinstitute.org
Cancellations
Written cancellations received by Friday, January 17, are subject to a $45 cancellation fee. Cancellations received after that time but prior to noon on Friday, January 24, are subject to a $65 cancellation fee. No refunds for cancellations received after January 24 or for course "no shows". All cancellations are subject to a non-refundable $25 material fee. Cancellations can be emailed to lisa@norcal-ai.org.
