This virtual class is held by Zoom. Several days before the class you will be sent the call in information. Class hours are 8:30-4:00pm PDT, with a 30 minute lunch. Please start to log on shortly after 8am the day of the class so we can get everyone checked in by 8:30am. As with every other USPAP class you've taken from the Appraisal Institute over the years this class requires two books, not just one. The books are: the 2020-2021 USPAP book that you order from the Appraisal Foundation and after registering you can download the handbook from the Appraisal Institute website to either save the pdf or print it. The morning of the class you will be asked to show just the cover of both books before the class starts. If you have the electronic version of both books please print just the cover of both to verify that you have both books. Make sure you don't wait until the morning of the class to do this. A camera and microphone are required for all zoom classes. Your camera needs to be on at all times so we can verify your attendance. If your camera is off and we can't reach you we have to assume that you've left the class and you won't receive any ce or a refund. As soon as you register please email a copy of your photo ID, such as your Drivers license to the chapter office. Please feel free to cover up any personal information such as your license #, height and weight. All I need is your photo, and address. Please email to: aioregon@oregonappraisers.org
Addtl information Program Materials Beginning 4 weeks prior to the offering, all students will have access to the downloadable course materials. In addition to the course materials, all students must come to class with either a print or downloadable copy of the current version of USPAP 2020-21. Tips on Downloading the Course Handbook Students are strongly encouraged to have pre-printed (rather than electronic) materials easily accessible to enhance the learning experience. The updated materials for 2022-23 are not expected to be ready for download unitl closer to the offering date. Check your portal for updates to make sure that you are downloading the correct version. - Log in to My Account (https://www.appraisalinstitute.org/); click the red tab
- Select Education & Events (right sidebar)
- See list of all offerings, scroll to 7-Hour National USPAP Update and select View
- You will now see a box that contains downloadable program materials
- Click link(s) to download
- Course Handbook
After you register please email a copy of your drivers license to Vicki Champ at aioregon@oregonappraisers.org. Before emailing your license feel free to mark out any personal information you don't feel comfortable sharing, all we really need is your name, address and your photo. Shortly after the class ends log in to the AI website and do the class evaluation, within a week you should be able to login again and print your class certificate. If you have any questions about any of this please call me at 503.910.5952 or email me at aioregon@oregonappraisers.org. Thank you for taking a class with the Greater Oregon Chapter of the Appraisal Institute.
