Cancellation Policy

Cancellations

Written cancellations received by Friday, June 10, are subject to a $35 cancellation fee.  Cancellations received after that time but prior to noon on Friday, June 17, are subject to a $55 cancellation fee.  No refunds for cancellations received after June 17 or for program "no shows".  Cancellations can be emailed to lisa@norcal-ai.org.

We reserve the right to substitute instructors, or to cancel or modify this program if sufficient registrations are not received by  June 3 or due to other circumstances beyond our control. In the event of cancellation, tuition fees will be refunded. All other costs incurred are the registrant’s responsibility.

BART and Onsite Parking

  • The Lafayette Library and Learning Center is conveniently located within a short walk of the Lafayette BART Station
  • Parking is available on-site at the LLLC; access garage via Golden Gate Way. Street parking is also available.


Program Hours and Materials

Onsite check-in will begin at 8:00am on Friday, June 24.  "Live / in-person" Instruction will run from 8:30am – 3:30pm (Pacific Time).  There is no exam associated with this offering.

Beginning 4 weeks prior to the offering, all students will have access to the downloadable course materials. If you would like hardcopy (printed) materials sent to you in advance, both a print fee of $25 and a shipping fee (TBD) apply. [Note: Shipping fee is calculated at the time of online check-out.]

While not required, some registrants may find a viewing device (ipad, phone, or laptop) helpful during instruction.  Note:  Electrical outlets are limited; students will need to bring their own extension cords / power strips.  

Education Credit Hours and Attendance Verifications
Those who check in late, leave early or are not in attendance during non-scheduled breaks may jeopardize receipt of credit.

Appraisal Institute: Full attendance (100%) enables Designated Members and Practicing Affiliates to receive 30 AI CEC points.  This course is just one of the programs AI professionals have to complete to meet their AI Standards requirement.  Other offerings may include USPAP 7-Hour and/or USPAP 15-Hour

BREA Continuing: Business Practices and Ethics has been approved by the BREA (#19CP754601363) for 6-hours of CEC. Licensed/certified appraisers seeking BREA CEC must meet the 100% attendance requirement.  

BREA Basic/QualifyingBusiness Practices and Ethics is not approved for BREA qualifying education (QE) credit.

If you are seeking credit for this offering from a state outside of California, check with your state licensing board(s) to make sure an out-of-state offering will be accepted before registering.  It is best to speak directly with a representative from your board rather than relying on information posted to the web.  Note: Some states outside of California may have additional reporting requirements that the chapter is not able to comply with.
