Notes

The Veterans Administration (VA) home loan program is unique from other Government Sponsored Enterprises or GSEs.  It is considered the gold standard among GSE programs.  Historically, the program has very few defaults.  During the mortgage meltdown of the early 2000s, it remained solvent, and did not have to go onto receivership unlike Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac.  Which is a testament two how to get it right when running a GSE program, that others are attempting to emulate.

This seminar provides an overview of everything involved with regards to the VA loan process. It touches on some of the loan considerations, and then spends the majority of the presentation discussing appraisal related topics with regards to the VA program.  Specifically, the VA panel, quality, turn times, use of trainees, minimum property requirements, workflow, and the reconsideration of value (Tidewater) process.

Participants will come away from this seminar with a firm understanding of what sets the VA program apart from other GSEs.
