Seminar Description

The Arkansas Chapter’s Lunch & Learn Event provides meaningful insights concerning Commercial Real Estate Market Trends, Economic Forecasts, Suggestions on How to Qualify as an Expert Witness, and Appraisal Regulation and State Legislation Changes, Hot Topic and Current Issues, plus more. This year’s seminar includes various members of the Appraisal and/or Real Estate Related Industries, including a Commercial Broker, an Economist, a Litigator, and an Appraisal Regulator.  Each speaker will have a topic to discuss and then there will be time for comments, questions, and answers.

**After 10/20/23: $75 (AI Price); $85 (Full Price)

Cancellation Policy

With written requests postmarked 15 days or more prior to offering, funds will be granted less a $10 cancellation fee.  For written requests postmarked 7 to 14 days prior to event, refunds will be granted less a $15 cancellation fee. Cancellations 6 days or less prior to the course and “no shows” the day of the event will forfeit payment.

Attendance Policy

The Appraisal Institute, AQB, and ARALCB require full attendance (100%) at the seminar. If the attendance roster reflects less than 100%, it could/will show up on the roster submission to the states.

o Provide participants with buyer/seller motivations in the current market cycle using various levels of expertise, such as supply & demand, price movements, marketing times, etc.

• Michael R., Pakko, Ph.D., Chief Economist and State Economic Forecaster, Arkansas Economic Development Institute, Univ Arkansas at Little Rock

o Review statistical data for the Arkansas economy relative to the US economy, as well the current economic cycle past, present, and future.

• Diana Piechocki,Executive Director, Arkansas Appraiser Licensing and Certification Board

o Discuss current and hot topic issues, such as bias related complaints and how attendees can prevent and defend themselves from this and state legislation and regulation changes that affect appraiser licensing in the state of Arkansas along with topics that affect the day-to-day practice of the real estate appraiser.

o Inform appraiser attendees about how best to become qualified for expert witness work and how to use appraisal services for litigation support as well as give the appraisers an opportunity to see condemnation appraisal matters through the eyes of the litigator.
