About the Workshop
Don’t miss this timely 2-hour presentation on two issues that will have a significant impact on all appraisers regardless of specialty or license level. Don’t let these new regulations surprise you.
Are the days of the being an Independent Contractor coming to an end for appraisers (AB 5)?
•Engaging an appraiser as an independent contractor has been business as usual in our profession since the beginning. A recent court case (Dynamex) resulted in the creation of a new state law that creates a higher standard for qualifying as an independent contractor. This new law can impact any appraiser who works as or engages others as independent contractors. Don't miss what a specialist in employment and labor laws has to say!
Rent Control to go Statewide (AB 1482)
•You’ll want the details on the New State Rent Control Law that can have an impact on rental properties ranging from Single Family Residences and Condominiums through multi-unit apartment buildings.
