“Appraising
in Floodplains & Wetlands”
Flood
maps are a part of appraising, but what do they mean? Appraisers should have a
basic understanding of why flooding occurs, how to read a flood map, and where
to find someone to help them learn more. Recognize the different types of
flooding, learn how the National Flood Insurance Program is administered, and
understand the components of a Flood Insurance Rate Map.

The seminar runs from 1-5pm. Please arrive 15-30 minutes
early. APPROVED BY THE STATE BOARD OF VA! (4CE hrs) There is a chapter dinner meeting following
the seminar. Separate registration is required, but please make plans to
attend! The seminar does not include food; there will be a beverage station.
