Topic (Hotel): In March 2020, when the World Health Organization (WHO) declared the COVID-19 outbreak a pandemic, the impact on the hotel sector was immediate. Almost 18 months later today, travel has picked up and hotel performance has improved. However, the level of resilience and pace of recovery vary by asset type, markets, locations, and segmentation. Charlotte Kang, MAI, FRICS, managing director and national hotel valuation practice lead at JLL will share data that indicates capital remains abundant and the southeast region appears to be the bright spot.
