This six hour seminar provides continuing education for Michigan assessors and appraisers. Conditions in the national office market including corporate downsizing, increasing sublease space and alternate use examples are highlighted.

 Statistics, trends, new construction and major sales and leases in major Michigan markets are presented.

 Covid-19 effects on occupancy levels both downtown and suburban are reviewed.

 Building classifications are defined together with examples across Michigan markets. The impact of vacant corporate office buildings on local market conditions are illustrated.

 The seminar includes case studies including tenant improvement costs, land value in a market with limited market data and valuation issues in older Class C properties are presented.
