This tour will help appraiser’s to
identify what gentrification looks like after twenty years of steady
development. Sights along the tour will include Belle Isle, Rivertown/Warehouse
District, The Platform Parcel, Uniroyal Platform, May Creek, Ambassador Bridge,
Delray/Gordie Howe Bridge.
Appraisers and assessors will be able
to see what change these neighborhoods have gone through and what changes to
value have occurred via either private sell, public financing and eminent
domain. This tour will help appraiser’s and assessors to witness the
repurposing of the Historic Buildings, public parks and walkways and how that
revitalization impacts the local community.
Ultimately, the goal of the tour is
to help appraisers and assessors to identify the changing real estate market
along the Detroit Riverfront.
The tour will be narrated by the Marc
Pasco of the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy.
The boat tour will be operated by the
Detroit Princess Riverboat.
