Applications of Real Estate Appraisal (PAREA) was adopted by the AQB on October 16, 2020
and became effective January 1, 2021.
PAREA is an alternative to the traditional
supervisor/trainee model for gaining appraisal experience and is designed to
offer practical experience in a virtual environment combining appraisal theory
and methodology in real-world simulations. This experience can be provided
through a wide range of online and virtual reality technologies.
The Appraisal Institute’s Manager of State
& Industry Affairs, Scott DiBiasio, will speak with NC appraisers about all
things PAREA this August. What is the program’s background? What exactly is PAREA? What are the requirements? How is
it implemented? Recent changes? Benefits? Challenges? Learn all the information,
insights, and updates you need to know about this relatively new appraisal
Prior registration is
required by 8/9. Zoom login information will be sent prior to the event. There
