Continuing Education Credit:

New York State CE - 7 Hours - Approved


The class will open at 8:00 am Eastern Time to check devices and ensure you can meet the Virtual education requirements.

Roll call will start at 8:30 am sharp.

100% attendance required with audio video requirements met for the 100% requirement.


Please note that notall states have approved Virtual education, therefore, registrants MUST CHECK their individual states for approval BEFORE registering for the Program.  Before registering for the Program, registrants understand and agree that continuing education credit for this program MAY NOT be available in their state on the date of the Program. The Appraisal Institute is not responsible if credit is not available for the Program in individual states.  Please note: State exceptions for virtual education may expire PRIOR tothe offering date.



Newly Adopted Continuing Education Requirements

This course is designed to satisfy the Continuing Education requirements for Real Estate Appraisers who have not satisfied the RE2 or GE1 requirements. It covers the most recent changes made to the Fair Housing and Fair Lending Act. A review of the New York State Human Rights Law will be made as well as an analysis of several case studies. Appraisal reporting requirements and USPAP Advisory Opinions that pertain to Fair Housing and Fair Lending will be discussed.

Up To 15 days prior to program start date, refund in full. 8 - 14 days prior to program start date, $35.00 cancellation fee. 7 days prior to program start date, forfeit of payment. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing. We reserve the right to cancel, limit, or reschedule the course and to change faculty assignments and facility locations at any time. Prospective students should confirm their registration before making any non-refundable airline reservations.

THIS CLASS WILL BE HELD VIA VIRTUAL INTERACTIVE CLASSROOM TECHNOLOGY. STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE A COMPUTER, WEBCAM AND MICROPHONE. IT IS THE STUDENT'S RESPONSIBILITY TO HAVE THE REQUIRED EQUIPMENT TO PARTICIPATE AND RECEIVE CREDIT. Virtual Classroom Guidelines: Students must have a computer, webcam and microphone capability to participate and receive continuing education credit. If you have a Lenovo laptop, you must have the Lenovo Vantage App installed on your computer for the webcam to operate. The platform will be interactive and live. The instructor must be able to physically see and interact with all students and students must be able to see and interact with the instructor. A copy of your driver's license must be emailed to the Chapter office as verification after you have registered for the offering prior to the start date. You will receive a separate email from the chapter office with log-in access information.
