About the Presenter

John L. Glascock is a Professor of Finance and is the Director of the CT Center for Real Estate and Urban Studies at UCONN. Professor Glascock has also served as an endowed professor at Cambridge University (UK), George Washington University, and Louisiana State University. 

 

Professor Glascock specializes in housing policy, REITs, and cross-border investing and has worked world-wide with many organizations which include universities in China (Renmin, Tsinghua, and others) and city, state, and national governments - HM Treasury (UK), the Taipei Government (Taiwan), Washington D.C., the U.S. Department of Justice, the State of Ohio, and the cities of Baton Rouge and Cincinnati. Professor Glascock has also worked with many private firms, including Macquarie Bank (Australia), SIC (Singapore), Cushman Wakefield (London and Europe), and Deutsche Bank (Germany). 

 

Professor Glascock’s research has been cited in major journals in Economics, Management, Finance, and Real Estate and also by CBS News, NPR, the Washington Post, and the Hartford Courant.
