Notes

MEETING SCHEDULE:
Tuesday, November 12, 2019
11:30am to 1:30pm

DESCRIPTION:
Josh Wood, JD., MAI, AI-GRS, Managing Director-Litigation with Valbridge Property Advisors will present, "You Can't Touch This - Identifying Intangibles." USPAP Standards Rule 1-2(e) requires appraisers to identify and consider the effect on value of any intangible items that are not real property but are included in the appraisal. However, USPAP does not say how to identify an intangible, or how to evaluate its effect on value. This presentation explores the following questions: (a) What are intangibles?; (b) How can an appraiser identify them?; (c) How should an appraiser consider their effect on value?
