Additional Information

Please join the Ohio Chapter for the next installment of the Region V Women’s Initiative Speaker Series complete with valuable information on land, legacy, community, and women leadership.

Event will be LIVESTREAM and is open to real estate appraisers, men and women, and those interested in hearing how these ladies moved through to success.

Event Description:
Livestream webinar encompassing vision, journeys, and decisions about farmland, change, and transition.

Kristina will share the origin story of The Farmers Land Trust and the vision behind the Farmland Commons model—a new approach to farmland ownership that prioritizes long-term stewardship, farmer access, and community benefit over extraction and speculation.

Annie will reflect on her decades-long journey building Blue Rock Station in Philo, Ohio, and the deeply personal decision to transition her land into the Blue Rock Farmland Commons. Together, they’ll explore what it means to plan for the future of land—beyond individual ownership—and how innovative models can ensure farms remain in the hands of farmers for generations to come.

This session offers both a big-picture look at systemic change in farmland access and a grounded, real-world example of how one farm is making that transition today.
